Draft Land Crosses to the Dark Side

by Ari Lee

Draft Land HK has opened its first Kowloon outpost in Tsim Sha Tsui, teaming up with nodi coffee for a day-to-night café-cocktail bar experience.

We all love to watch a cocktail being carefully crafted by a bartender who has honed his skills behind the mahogany over years. But, for most of us, there are also nights when we wish they would stop plucking their vintage suspenders and just hurry up. There’s nothing worse than watching a bartender teasing out the subtle nuances of ingredients as if summoning ancient spirits when all you want to do is quench a thirst that’s been building all day.

Cocktails on the Fly

That’s why Draft Land on Hong Kong’s Wyndham Street has long been a place of pilgrimage for the time-poor and flavour-concious. It’s innovative (and affordable) cocktails-on-tap approach means less citrus expressions and more time enjoying your chosen libation.

Now, Draft Land HK, the brainchild of celebrated Taiwanese bartender Angus Zou in collaboration with Hong Kong’s pioneering bar figure Antonio Lai, is delivering this speedy approach to mixology to the city’s ‘Dark Side’ with its very first Kowloon outpost in the heart of Tsim Sha Tsui. Marking a bold new chapter for the brand, this location introduces an exciting daytime transformation in collaboration with nodi, one of Hong Kong’s most beloved coffee brands.

Filling the space with freshly brewed specialty coffee by day and Draft Land’s signature “Cocktails On Tap” by night, the new venue offers an all-day lifestyle experience for coffee enthusiasts and cocktail lovers alike.

Specialty Coffee by Day, Cocktails On Tap by Night

From 8 am till 5 pm daily, nodi will be taking over the venue, serving a curated selection of signature bakery goods, including the kinds of loaf cakes and cookies you’ll keep a secret from your trainer and heady specialty coffee creations. If you’re Kowloon-bound, you might want to try the exclusive nodi x Draft Land TST Elderflower Coffee Soda, a vibrant, refreshing drink combining Lai’s favourite elderflower syrup with a shot of nodi’s focus-sharpening house blend espresso, topped off with crisp, sparkling soda.

As night falls, the space transitions into Draft Land, featuring an impressive lineup of 24 taps. Punters can expect to see their familiar favourites such as the Thirsty Collins, Guk Bou, and Oolong Tea Collins, alongside three exclusive Draft Land TST x nodi cocktails.

The Really Really Dark & Stormy, an elevated take on the classic Dark & Stormy, packs an extra kick of spice from fresh ginger juice, warmth from honey, and a rich layer of nodi’s cold brew coffee, while the Coconut Punch, a tropical milk punch cocktail crafted with a Scotch whisky base, layered with rich coconut, crisp Hojicha tea, and hints of almond and vanilla, will whisky you straight to a beachside getaway.

For those who enjoy a cocktail that offers a more complex depth of flavours may opt for the Caferoni, a twist on the classic Negroni. It’s a bold, spirit-forward cocktail with nodi cold brew-infused bourbon, vermouth, cacao, and sherry for a sophisticated, robust finish.

What makes this venue worth visiting this weekend doesn’t just end there. As bars across the globe level up their culinary offerings, Draft Land Tsim Sha Tsui steps into the spotlight with a menu by Kimpton Hong Kong alumni Chef Logan Hester. The new bar snack selection marries comforting, indulgence-driven sharing bites with refined execution. Standouts include Southeast Asian-inspired Pork Neck with kaffir lime; smoky Harissa Octopus; street-food-style “Takoyaki” Fishballs; and and an ultra-satisfying Japanese Curry Beef Toasty.

Natural Earth Tones Meet Industrial Steel

Departing from Central’s raw industrial look and Causeway Bay’s inviting neighbourhood-inspired storefront, the Tsim Sha Tsui venue welcomes guests with a warm and harmonious aesthetic. Wrapped in natural earth tones, the soothing palette offers a refined contrast against Draft Land’s iconic stainless-steel taps, blending cosy lifestyle vibes with a touch of contemporary toughness.

The venue also boasts a relaxed semi-outdoor space, offering a breezy, open-air seated area for guests to unwind from day to night.
